Founded in 1998 by J.P. Gold as means to host events and help promote local musicians, iQ Entertainment has grown into a multifaceted entertainment firm with multimedia production, artist management, and event promotion divisions.  iQ Entertainment is dedicated to the promotion of quality acts in underground music. The common trait that links all of the artists on iQ Entertainment’s roster together is intelligence. Each artist provides a skilled in-depth presentation of their music, whether it be through  emceeing, turntablism, original production, or flawless track selection and mixing.

In addition to providing agency services for underground artists, iQ Entertainment also hosts several events that showcase underground talent from around the world. Between 2005 and late 2007, iQ Entertainment hosted the critically acclaimed weekly Broke(n) Tuesdays at the Melody Inn in Indianapolis.  Broke(n) was influential in seeing a revitalization of bass-heavy music in the city.  The weekly beget monthlies and various one-off events at venues like Talbott Street, Therapy, Seven, Tru, and the Murphy Arts Building.

Recognizing and understanding the tremendous amount of talent on the iQ roster, the company has signed a digital distribution agreement with Symphonic Distribution, creating a digital record label underneath the iQ Entertainment umbrella. The label is dedicated to releasing tunes that push the boundaries of bass culture.
